Mental Health Week 2020

Today marks the start of Mental Health Week 2020 – 18th to 24th May. This year’s theme is kindness. Our school community is full of kindness, so we want our children to celebrate the acts of kindness they both give and receive.

To do this, we are asking the children to make Kindness Cups at home -to award to either themselves or someone else for an act of kindness they have given or received (please take a photograph and send it to that person if they are outside your household). Younger children may wish to colour in a paper version of the Kindness Cup. Another great idea to do with your children this week is to make an Acts of Kindness Jar. This gives children ideas of different acts of kindness they could do each day. Use the ready-made ideas, make age-appropriate ideas specific to your child or ask your children to come up with their own ideas to decorate and put in their jars.

Most importantly this week, be kind to yourselves, you are our Rushbrook family! #TeamRushbrook #BFETPassion #BFETCommunity #BFETIntegrity
