Calling all budding news reporters! We need you!

Have you ever wondered how Newsround come up with their stories? Have you ever wanted to meet one of the presenters and ask them some questions?

Now is your chance! Mr Carroll and Miss Asbery will be taking some lucky competition winners to the Newsround morning meeting in the BBC building at Media City. Here, you will sit with the producers and suggest ideas for the show. You can tell them what you like and don’t like then will meet one of the presenters and have a question and answer session with them. We will have our lunch and a walk around Salford Quays and visit the Imperial War Musuem.

So…what do you need to do? Write a news report, it can be on anything you like. Choose something you are interested in. To help, over the holidays look at news papers or news websites for ideas. Don’t forget the 5 W’s: Who, what, when, where and why?

News reports are to be handed in to Miss Asbery by Tuesday the 5th of November. Happy writing, and good luck!
