This term, Year 3 have been exploring the Enquiry question: What’s underneath our feet? As geographers and scientists, we have been discovering the fascinating materials and processes beneath the Earth’s surface, from volcanic eruptions and earthquakes to soil and rock formation. This week, children investigated sedimentary rocks, observing how layers form using organic materials, examining real fossils of creatures that lived over 550 million years ago, and even creating their own fossil imprints!
