Chester Zoo Trip – 9th February 2022

Dear parents/carers,

After such a tough couple of years during the pandemic, the children have missed out on many educational visits. We would like to get trips kick started again with a whole school trip to Chester Zoo.

This will be a great opportunity for the whole school family to go out for the day and enjoy each other’s company in a fantastic environment.

This visit will take place on Wednesday 9th February 2022 and will be free of charge to all our families, we just want to all be together. At the zoo we will get the chance to walk around all of the indoor and outdoor enclosures and enjoy seeing all of the animals in their habitats. We will need some adult helpers so teachers will be asking!

We will travel to the zoo by coach, leaving school at 9.00am, and we will return to school at 3.00pm. If your child usually has a school dinner, a packed lunch will be provided for them by school. If your child normally brings a packed lunch, please can they bring it in a disposal plastic bag with their name on it.

As the zoo is predominately outdoors and the weather can be changeable, we ask that you send your child into school on the day wearing comfortable and warm outdoor trousers and their school uniform t-shirt and jumper. Please ensure that your child is wearing a waterproof, outdoor coat and sensible shoes. You may want to send your child in hat and gloves, but they will be responsible for these throughout the day.

If you have any questions, please ask your class teacher.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mr Carroll
